Damir Zibrat is Business Development Manager of Austrian company TECHNIKGRUPPE , and has more than 25 years’ experience in international strategic selling and marketing. Damir joined TECHNIKGRUPPE in 2016 and has spoken frequently about combustion optimization in waste to energy and biomass plants. After completing his university education in electro-engineering he was engaged for more than 5 years in electronic development and applications of industrial measurement systems.

Tim started his career in geotechnical engineering and moved into landfill gas management playing a key role in the development of the industry through active involvement in both the Landfill Gas Association and in turn the Renewable Energy Association. Instrumental in establishing best practice in the sector he oversaw the formation and subsequent development of the landfill gas generation division within Suez (SITA at the time). In 2008 he moved into the EFW sector overseeing the operation of the iconic Isle of Man EFW plant on behalf of the Isle of Man government. He then took responsibility for the Suez northern portfolio of EFW plants (Kirklees, IOM, Teesside Lines 1&2, Line 3 and Lines 4&5) establishing a standard operating model and harmonising staffing and operational /maintenance processes and procedures. In 2017 he took responsibility for the southern Suez EFW portfolio seeing the Suffolk, Severnside, and Cornwall EfW plants through final commissioning and take over into a steady operational phase. He has been responsible for the Suez UK Energy Management function which oversees all group energy transactions for over 15 years. A champion of lean thinking and continuous improvement he has overseen the introduction of lean manufacturing techniques into the EFW and Landfill disciplines.
