Work experience includes 10 years with Valmet Automation, and in total 19 years in the field od biomass combustion and power plant optimization field.

Mark Tipton is a versatile leader and manager with 27 years project delivery experience in the public and private sectors of UK waste management. He is currently Director of Development with the Cobalt Energy Group, progressing and stewarding the growth of the Group. For five years previously, he was a Senior Project Manager in the Group and delivered a variety of EfW project commissions and provided technical consultancy on a range of feasibility, technical and change projects. Before this, Mark led a waste PFI project as the SPV Director for six years (FCC Environment), led and managed EfW project delivery teams in public sector consultancy (Mace Group), led the EfW project strategy and procurement (Buckinghamshire County Council) and served for eight years managing both business development and operational teams in the hazardous waste sector (Veolia and Grundon).
